As the largest of Honda's flagship GX range of engines, the GX390 is used in all sorts of applications. From Pressure Washers and Construction/Industrial equipment, to Tillers/Cultivators, Generators and Commercial Lawn & Garden Equipment, it can be found working hard all over Australia.
Due to its power and emissions compliance, heavy-duty Forestry Equipment, Agricultural Equipment and Water Pumps are also powered by the gutsy GX390.

A digital CDI ignition system with variable timing and an increased compression ratio combines with the GX390's Precision Camshaft design to offer precise valve timing and optimal valve overlap for better fuel efficiency.
It draws on decades of Honda engineering with its OHV design, delivering increased efficiency and optimal power transfer where and when you need it.
The use of lightweight, noise-reducing materials and a forged steel crankshaft & rigid crankcase results in an exceptionally quiet engine - an improved piston design reduces mechancal noise, with an overall reduction of engine noise by up to 5 dB.
The GX390 offers precision-engineered components resulting in lower vibration, and a Ball Bearing-supported Crankshaft for greater stability. It also offers an improved piston design and a heavy duty balancer shaft to deliver smooth performance.
Helical cut gears, a large capacity, multi-chamber exhaust system and sophisticated air intake system also makes for an exceptionally quiet engine.
And with Oil Alert, a simple Throttle Control, large Fuel Tank and Automotive Type Fuel Cap, Dual Oil Drains and Fills, an easily accessible Spark Plug and Heavy Duty Recoil Starter, the GX390's features go on and on.
* The power rating of the engine indicated in this document is the net power output tested on a production engine for the engine model and measured in accordance with SAE J1349 at 3600 rpm. Mass production engines may vary from this value.
Actual power output for the engine installed in the final machine will vary depending on numerous factors, including the operating speed of the engine in application, environmental conditions, maintenance and other variables.
